Matrix sections allow you to plot and prioritize your ideas on a 2 x 2 matrix. The X and Y axis labels can be changed to suit your needs, and sticky notes are plotted on the grid.

Create a Matrix section type

  1. Click the edit pencil in the top left of a section
  2. Click 'Edit' from the drop down menu
  3. Choose the 'Type' tab in the new pop up menu
  4. Choose 'Matrix' under the Section type drop down menu

The Microsoft Excel report intelligently understands where sticky notes are placed in the matrix. The Excel reports what quadrant of the matrix the sticky note is in and provides a numeric value between 0 and 10 for the position on each axis.
